The ELKHART PRODUCTS WPT-24-24-16 is a wrot copper reducing tee designed for use in potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. This fitting connects two 1-1/2 inch run ends to a 1 inch branch outlet using a standard solder (sweat) connection on all three ports. The wrot copper construction delivers consistent wall thickness and a clean internal bore, which supports reliable flow and leak-free joints when properly soldered. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting where a branch takeoff requires a reduction in line size without adding an additional coupling.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where copper tubing is the specified pipe material. Common applications include domestic hot and cold water supply lines, recirculation loops, and hydronic heating branch circuits. The C x C x C configuration means all three ports accept standard copper tubing for solder joining, making it compatible with Type K, L, and M copper tube in the corresponding sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for copper plumbing systems using 1-1/2 inch run pipe with a 1 inch branch takeoff in standard solder-joint applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local code requirements. Shut off and drain the water supply completely before cutting into an existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth and flux before applying heat, and follow lead-free solder requirements where mandated for potable water systems. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the fitting and compromise the joint.
