The ELKHART PRODUCTS WPT-20-20-08 is a wrot copper reducing tee used to branch and reduce flow in sweat-soldered copper piping systems. Built to Model 111R specifications, this fitting connects 1-1/4-inch run ends to a 1/2-inch branch outlet using a C x C x C solder-cup configuration. Wrot copper construction delivers consistent wall thickness and a smooth interior surface, which reduces turbulence and supports reliable long-term joint integrity. At 0.242 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and easy to handle during rough-in work. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in potable water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution systems, and commercial plumbing rough-ins where flow reduction at a branch point is required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial copper piping installations where a 1-1/4-inch main run must branch to a 1/2-inch lateral. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, recirculation loops, and hydronic baseboard or radiant panel supply lines. The solder-cup ends accept standard copper tube conforming to ASTM B88 Type L or Type M sizing, making it compatible with common supply pipe found in most plumbing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper solder fitting compatible with standard copper tube systems using C x C x C sweat connections in 1-1/4-inch run and 1/2-inch branch configurations.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; heat the fitting evenly and allow solder to draw fully into the cup before moving the joint. Do not apply mechanical stress to the joint until it has fully cooled.
