The ELKHART PRODUCTS 3/4 X 3/4 is a wrot copper reducing tee designed for soldered (sweat) copper piping systems. Configured as C x C x C, it connects 3/4-inch run ports to a 1/2-inch branch outlet, making it a standard choice when stepping down branch supply lines in water distribution and hydronic systems. Weighing just 0.112 pounds, the fitting is machined from wrot copper, which offers tighter dimensional tolerances and a denser grain structure than cast fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in residential and light commercial applications where reliable, leak-free solder joints are required.
This reducing tee is suited for domestic cold and hot water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution piping, and other copper-compatible fluid systems where a 3/4-inch main run must feed a 1/2-inch branch. The sweat connection type requires standard copper flux, solder, and a torch, and is compatible with Type L and Type M copper tubing in the corresponding nominal sizes. It is part of the Elkhart Products Model 111R fitting line within the WROT product series.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper sweat fitting compatible with 3/4-inch nominal copper run pipe and 1/2-inch nominal copper branch pipe following standard C x C x C solder joint configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and fully drain the affected lines before cutting and fitting. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth, apply appropriate flux, and solder with lead-free solder per applicable code requirements. Avoid overheating the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the copper and compromise joint integrity.
