The ELKAY WNSF8236R2 is a floor-mount, double-compartment scullery sink with an integrated drainboard, built for high-volume commercial foodservice environments. Fabricated from 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a polished satin finish, the sink measures 61.5 inches long by 27.5 inches wide by 14 inches deep overall. Each of the two bowls measures 18 inches in length, 24 inches in width, and 14 inches in depth, with welded 14-inch radius coved corners that reduce bacteria harborage points and simplify sanitation. The channel rim design features a 2-inch apron and an inward-sloping edge to contain splashback and minimize countertop runoff. Licensed plumbers and commercial kitchen contractors are the typical installers for this fixture.
The WNSF8236R2 is designed for demanding foodservice applications including restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, schools, healthcare facilities, and recreational kitchens. The 8-inch-high full-length sloped backsplash provides a clean surface for wall-adjacent plumbing rough-ins. Both bowl compartments include a centered 3.5-inch drain opening for efficient drainage. Two faucet holes are pre-drilled to accommodate standard deck-mount faucet configurations. Stainless steel tubular legs with adjustable feet support leveling on uneven floor surfaces, which is a common requirement in older commercial kitchen builds.
Designed as a floor-mount scullery sink for commercial foodservice installations requiring a double-compartment layout with drainboard, consistent with NSF and health code requirements common in restaurant and institutional kitchen environments.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and applicable IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and verify drain rough-in locations before setting the sink in its final position. Adjust the stainless steel leg feet to achieve a level, stable installation before making drain and supply connections. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool pads on the satin stainless finish, as these will cause surface damage.
