The ELKAY RESIDENTIAL LRAD172255MR2 is a single-bowl, drop-in kitchen sink made from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel with a Lustertone Classic polished finish. It measures 17 inches by 22 inches by 5.5 inches and features a rear center drain positioned to maximize usable bowl space and under-cabinet clearance. Sound Guard technology uses large dampening pads bonded to the underside to reduce basin noise during use. The sink is ADA compliant and carries a 3.5-inch drain opening. Licensed plumbers and qualified kitchen installers handle this type of fixture. It is suited for residential kitchens, prep areas, bar setups, and laundry rooms where a compact single-bowl drop-in is required.
This sink fits countertop cutouts appropriate for a drop-in installation and requires a minimum cabinet width of 21 inches. The U-channel mounting system allows clips to be pre-positioned in the channel before the sink is set into the countertop cutout, streamlining the installation sequence. The rear center drain placement improves cabinet storage space below. ADA compliance makes it suitable for accessible kitchen and prep-area applications in both residential and light commercial settings where that designation is required.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-installation single-bowl kitchen sink for countertop cutouts requiring a minimum cabinet width of 21 inches. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch kitchen drain assemblies and strainer baskets.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain and supply lines before removing an existing sink. Apply a continuous bead of silicone sealant around the countertop cutout perimeter before setting the sink, and secure mounting clips evenly per the manufacturer sequence. Do not overtighten mounting clips on stone or solid-surface countertops without verifying the substrate can handle the clamping load.
