Elkay Residential LRAD1522650 Drop-in Kitchen Sink

Product Description

The ELKAY RESIDENTIAL LRAD1522650 is a single-bowl drop-in kitchen sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 15 inches by 22 inches with a bowl depth of 6.5 inches, making it a compact but functional option for kitchens, bar areas, and laundry rooms. The rear-centered drain placement with a 3.5-inch drain opening maximizes usable cabinet space below the sink. Sound-deadening pads bonded to the underside reduce noise and vibration during use. Installation follows a U-channel mounting method. Licensed plumbers and experienced trade professionals install this unit in residential and light commercial settings.

This sink is suited for drop-in installations in residential kitchens, wet bars, and laundry utility areas where a compact single-bowl configuration is appropriate. The lustrous brushed stainless finish is scratch-resistant and the manufacturer notes the finish is repairable, allowing deep scratches to be addressed without replacing the unit. The sink meets ADA compliance standards, making it appropriate for accessible-design projects. Manufactured in the USA.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local IPC or applicable plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. Apply a continuous bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant along the countertop cutout perimeter before setting the sink to ensure a watertight seal. Do not overtighten the mounting clips, as this can distort the sink rim or damage the countertop material.
