Product Description

The ELKAY LRADQ1716551 is a single bowl drop-in kitchen sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 17 inches by 16 inches by 5.5 inches overall, with a bowl interior of 14 inches in length by 10 inches in width. The sink features a repairable lustrous finish that resists visible wear over time. Sound-deadening pads are bonded to the underside to reduce vibration and noise during heavy use. A centrally located 3.5-inch drain opening promotes efficient drainage. This model is ADA compliant when installed per applicable guidelines. Licensed plumbers and experienced kitchen installers are the typical tradespeople who handle this unit.

This sink is suited for residential kitchen countertop installations, kitchen prep areas, laundry rooms, and light commercial settings. The drop-in design requires a minimum cabinet size of 21 inches. The Quick-Clip mounting system secures the sink from above the countertop, eliminating the need to work below the deck during final fastening. Its rectangular bowl profile makes it practical for dishwashing, food prep, and utility tasks in both new construction and remodel projects.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code. Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain connections before removing an existing sink. Use the Quick-Clip hardware included with the unit to secure the sink from above the deck; do not overtighten clips unevenly, as this can distort the sink flange. Apply a bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the perimeter of the cutout before lowering the sink into position.
