Elkay LRAD2222551 Single Bowl Drop-in Kitchen Sink Ada

Product Description

The ELKAY LRAD2222551 is a single bowl drop-in kitchen sink from the Lustertone Classic series, constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 22 inches x 22 inches x 5.5 inches overall, with a usable interior of 19 inches in length and 16 inches in width. The rear-centered 3.5-inch drain placement keeps the under-sink cabinet clear for storage. Sound guard technology uses large bonded pads to reduce noise during use. This sink is ADA compliant when properly installed and is manufactured in the USA. Plumbers and kitchen remodel contractors are the primary installers for this fixture.

The LRAD2222551 is suited for residential kitchen installations where a drop-in single bowl configuration is specified. It requires a minimum cabinet size of 27 inches, making it compatible with standard base cabinet widths commonly found in residential kitchen layouts. The sink accepts a single faucet hole, which keeps deck clutter minimal. U-channel mounting clips are included and are designed to work with countertop material up to 0.75 inches thick, covering most standard laminate and solid-surface countertop thicknesses.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including IPC provisions for sink drain connections and trap sizing. Do not overtighten the U-channel mounting clips, as this can distort the sink rim or damage countertop material.
