The ELKAY LRAD2022400 is an 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel single bowl drop-in kitchen sink designed for residential and light commercial installations. The sink measures 19.5 x 22 x 4 inches overall, with an interior bowl dimension of 16 x 16 x 3.875 inches, providing a square, uninterrupted wash area suited to dish washing, food prep, and general utility work. A rear center drain opening maximizes under-sink storage clearance. Sound-deadening pads are factory-applied to the underside to reduce vibration and operational noise. The scratch-resistant finish is also repairable, extending the service life of the surface. Plumbers and kitchen contractors are the typical installing trade for this fixture.
The LRAD2022400 is suited for kitchens, laundry rooms, and accessible commercial spaces requiring ADA-compliant sink installations. The drop-in configuration uses a U-channel installation method, reducing time spent working from below the countertop. The sink requires a minimum 24-inch base cabinet and a countertop cutout of 18.875 x 21.375 inches. The zero faucet-hole configuration supports a clean deck appearance and allows the installer or end user to specify a separate faucet mounting location. Manufactured in the USA.
Compatible with base cabinets 24 inches or larger. Requires a countertop cutout of 18.875 x 21.375 inches. Zero faucet holes are pre-configured; faucet must be deck- or wall-mounted separately.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and disconnect any existing drain connections before removing an old sink or preparing the countertop cutout. Use the specified cutout dimensions of 18.875 x 21.375 inches and verify cabinet size is at least 24 inches before cutting. Apply a continuous bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the rim flange per the manufacturer's installation instructions before setting the sink into the countertop opening.
