The ELKAY LR2219PDMR2 is a single bowl drop-in kitchen sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 22 inches by 19.5 inches overall, with a bowl interior of 18 inches by 14 inches and a depth of 7.625 inches. The edgeless Perfect Drain design eliminates the gap around the drain opening, allowing food particles and water to clear the basin without manual wiping. Straight sidewalls produce a flat-bottomed bowl that maximizes usable wash and soak space. Sound-deadening pads are bonded to the underside to reduce vibration and noise during use. This sink is installed by plumbers and kitchen renovation contractors and ships with an LKPD1 Perfect Drain and strainer included.
The LR2219PDMR2 is suited to residential kitchen installations, particularly counter replacement or full kitchen remodel projects. The drop-in mounting style fits countertops with a cut opening and requires a minimum cabinet width of 27 inches. U-channel mounting clips are included, allowing the sink to be set and secured from below the countertop deck without specialty tooling. The included Perfect Drain and strainer means no additional drain hardware is required for standard installation. The scratch-resistant finish can be restored using an Elkay restoration kit if deep surface marring occurs over time.
Designed as a drop-in replacement or new-installation sink for residential kitchen countertops with a minimum cabinet width of 27 inches. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch drain openings using the included LKPD1 Perfect Drain.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified contractor in accordance with local IPC plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removing any existing sink. Apply a continuous bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the perimeter of the cut opening before setting the sink, then secure with the provided U-channel clips tightened evenly from below. Do not overtighten mounting clips, as this can distort the sink flange or damage laminate countertop edges.
