The ELKAY LR13160 is an 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel single bowl drop-in sink designed for residential kitchens, bar areas, and laundry spaces. The overall sink dimensions are 13 x 16 x 7.625 inches, with a square bowl interior measuring 10 x 10 inches at 7.5 inches deep. Straight sidewalls and a flat bottom maximize usable bowl volume, making the space efficient for soaking, stacking, and washing. A lustrous grain finish resists surface scratches from routine use and can be restored with a stainless steel restoration kit if deeper marks occur. Bottom-only sound-deadening pads reduce vibration and dampen noise during operation.
The LR13160 suits drop-in installation in residential kitchens, wet bars, prep stations, and laundry rooms. It requires a minimum cabinet cutout width of 18 inches, making it compatible with standard base cabinet configurations where counter space is limited. The 3.5-inch center drain location aligns with common kitchen drain rough-ins. U-channel mounting clips secure the sink from above the cabinet deck, reducing time spent working in the cabinet interior. The sink is ADA-compliant at applicable installation depths, making it suitable for accessible-design projects.
Designed as an OEM-style drop-in replacement or new installation sink for residential and light commercial applications requiring a minimum 18-inch base cabinet. Center drain size is 3.5 inches, compatible with standard kitchen drain basket assemblies.
Drop-in sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before removal of any existing sink. Apply a continuous bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the perimeter of the cutout before setting the sink, then secure with the provided U-channel mounting clips. Confirm the drain basket assembly and P-trap connection meet local code before restoring water service.
