The ELKAY ELUH3118T is an undermount double bowl kitchen sink constructed from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. Each bowl measures 14.5 inches in length, 17 inches in width, and 9 inches in depth, providing generous capacity for washing, soaking, rinsing, and drying. A rear center drain measuring 3.5 inches is positioned to maximize usable workspace and preserve cabinet storage below. Sound-deadening pads on the sides and bottom reduce vibration and noise during use. The forgiving brushed finish resists everyday scratches and minor surface blemishes, and deep scratches can be addressed with a stainless steel restoration kit. This sink is intended for undermount installation and integrates flush with the countertop surface for a clean, finished appearance.
The ELUH3118T is suited for residential kitchen applications where undermount installation is specified. The double bowl configuration supports independent simultaneous tasks, making it practical for busy food prep and cleanup workflows. A minimum cabinet width of 36 inches is required for proper fitment. The clean lines and tight corner geometry simplify routine cleaning and complement contemporary or transitional kitchen designs. Licensed plumbers typically handle the countertop cutout coordination and drain rough-in for this type of undermount installation.
Designed for undermount installation in residential kitchens with a minimum cabinet width of 36 inches. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch kitchen drain assemblies.
Undermount sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in coordination with the countertop fabricator, as the cutout must be completed before sink mounting. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain lines before removing an existing sink. Follow local IPC requirements for drain assembly and trap configuration. Do not overtighten mounting hardware against the countertop substrate, as this can cause stress fractures in stone or solid surface materials.
