The ELKAY DLR1720101 is a drop-in single bowl kitchen sink fabricated from 18-gauge Type 304 stainless steel. It measures 17 inches by 20 inches with a depth of 10.125 inches, making it a compact yet functional option for residential kitchen installations. The square bowl interior measures 14 inches by 14 inches with a 10-inch depth, providing sufficient clearance for large cookware and everyday dishware. A U-channel mounting system simplifies drop-in installation and includes all necessary hardware for countertops up to 0.75 inches thick. Sound-deadening pads are attached to the underside to reduce vibration and basin noise during use. This sink is installed by licensed plumbers or experienced kitchen contractors.
This sink is suited for residential kitchen remodels and new construction applications where a drop-in stainless steel single bowl is specified. The 3.5-inch drain opening is compatible with standard basket strainers and accommodates garbage disposal units where space permits. The lustrous finish of Type 304 stainless steel resists corrosion and minor surface marks can blend into the finish over time. Deep scratches may be addressed using an Elkay restoration kit. The drop-in configuration makes it adaptable to most standard countertop materials including laminate, tile, and solid surface substrates up to 0.75 inches thick.
Designed as an OEM-style drop-in replacement or new installation sink for residential kitchen countertop cutouts accommodating a 17-inch by 20-inch overall sink footprint.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain plumbing before removing any existing sink. Verify countertop cutout dimensions and material thickness do not exceed 0.75 inches before securing the mounting hardware. Do not overtighten mounting clips, as this may distort the sink rim or damage the countertop substrate.
