The ELKAY COMMERCIAL LK940GN08T6S is a centerset wall mount faucet built for commercial kitchens, institutional facilities, and high-traffic handwashing stations. The faucet features an 8-inch gooseneck spout that delivers ample clearance for handwashing and scrubbing tasks. Construction is solid brass throughout, providing long-term resistance to the wear and corrosion common in demanding service environments. The unit ships with a 1.5 GPM vandal-resistant aerator installed, plus 2.2 GPM and 0.5 GPM inserts for flow-rate flexibility. A spout swing restriction pin locks the spout in a fixed position when needed in multipurpose or shared-use settings. Licensed plumbers and commercial service technicians are the typical installers for this fitting.
This faucet is suited for food service operations, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and other commercial or institutional environments that require ADA-compliant fixtures and certified lead-free components. The 6-inch wristblade handles allow hands-free or wrist-operated actuation, meeting ADA accessibility requirements without additional modification. The 1/2-inch adjustable inlets with integral stops simplify rough-in and give the installer in-line shutoff control at the fixture, reducing downstream maintenance complexity. Two faucet holes are required for installation, consistent with standard centerset wall mount rough-in configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style centerset wall mount faucet for commercial and institutional plumbing applications requiring a two-hole, wall-mounted installation with 1/2-inch supply inlets.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply at the nearest upstream isolation valve before beginning any fitting work. The integral stops on the adjustable inlets allow individual supply shutoff at the fixture without requiring full system shutdown. Do not overtighten brass fittings; follow standard brass-to-brass torque practices to avoid thread damage.
