The ELKAY 2C18X18-L-18X is a two-compartment stainless steel sink built for heavy-duty commercial use. Constructed from 16-gauge Type 300 series stainless steel, it delivers the corrosion resistance and structural integrity required in professional kitchen and sanitation environments. The overall unit measures 58.5 inches wide, 23.8125 inches deep, and 44.75 inches tall. Each bowl measures 18 inches by 18 inches with a 12-inch depth, providing adequate volume for washing and rinsing dishware, cookware, and utensils. An 18-inch left-side drainboard gives technicians and kitchen staff a dedicated staging surface. This sink is typically specified and installed by licensed plumbers in commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities.
The 2C18X18-L-18X is designed for commercial kitchens, food service operations, healthcare facilities, and other institutional settings requiring multi-compartment washing capability. The two-bowl configuration supports standard three-sink sanitation workflows when paired with a third unit. The left drainboard accommodates post-wash staging. Pre-drilled faucet holes accept a single splash-mount faucet, giving the installer flexibility in fixture selection. A 10-inch backsplash with tile ledge is included for simplified wall integration. The adjustable stainless steel legs with bullet feet allow the unit to be leveled on uneven floors.
Designed as an OEM-style commercial sink requiring a single splash-mount faucet; two faucet holes are pre-drilled for standard fixture installation in commercial plumbing configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and verify drain rough-in locations before positioning the unit. Confirm floor load capacity prior to final placement, as the assembled unit with water can be substantial. Do not use abrasive cleaners on the stainless steel surface during or after installation.
