The ELECTRO HARDWARE P529M03F21-832 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between a PCB and a mounting surface or between stacked boards. Machined from brass with a zinc-plated clear chromate finish, this standoff meets ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-B-626 Comp 22 standards for corrosion resistance and plating quality. The internal 8-32 threaded bore accepts a standard machine screw on each end, securing the board firmly while maintaining a consistent 0.5 inch overall length. The hexagonal body — 0.25 inches across flats — allows a standard hex driver or wrench to torque the standoff without slipping. Electronics technicians, panel builders, and industrial assemblers use these fasteners wherever reliable PCB mounting is required.
This standoff is suited for residential and commercial electronics assemblies, control panels, HVAC circuit boards, electrical enclosures, and general PCB mounting applications requiring a compact, corrosion-resistant spacer. The 0.5 inch overall length provides a low-profile standoff distance appropriate for tightly packaged assemblies. The brass base material offers good electrical conductivity and machinability, while the zinc-plated finish adds a layer of protection against oxidation in moderate-humidity environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation standoff for PCBs and control boards using 8-32 machine screw fasteners in applications requiring a 0.5 inch standoff height.
Installation is typically performed by electronics technicians or panel assemblers. De-energize all circuits and discharge any capacitors before working on or near circuit boards. Use a hex wrench or nut driver sized for 0.25 inches across flats to seat the standoff without over-torquing the brass body. Avoid cross-threading when engaging the mating machine screw, as brass threads can be damaged by misalignment under force.
