The ELECTRO HARDWARE P521M06F16-632 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs, mounting panels, and enclosure floors in electronic assemblies. Machined from aluminum alloy to material grade T-3 with a bright anodized finish, this standoff accepts a 6-32 threaded fastener and provides a clear, repeatable 3/8 inch overall length stack height. The hex body measures 1/4 inch across flats, allowing standard hex drivers or nut drivers to torque the fastener without slipping. It is installed by electronics technicians, field service engineers, and electricians during control board mounting in HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and industrial panels.
This standoff is suited for residential and light commercial applications where aluminum construction is preferred for corrosion resistance and weight savings. Typical uses include securing control boards inside furnace or air handler cabinets, mounting relay boards inside electrical panels, and spacing PCBs within instrumentation enclosures. The anodized surface finish improves surface hardness and provides additional protection against oxidation in humid service environments. The 6-32 thread is one of the most common machine screw sizes found in North American electronic hardware, making this standoff widely applicable across standard control board installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation standoff for circuit board mounting applications that specify a 6-32 female hex aluminum standoff with a 3/8 inch overall length.
Installation is performed by electricians or electronics technicians following applicable NEC guidelines for control wiring enclosures. De-energize all circuits and discharge any capacitive loads before handling circuit boards or standoffs inside live equipment. Use a properly sized nut driver or hex wrench matched to the 1/4 inch across-flats dimension to avoid rounding the hex body. Do not over-tighten mating screws into the aluminum female thread, as aluminum threads are more susceptible to galling and stripping than steel.
