The ELECTRO HARDWARE P357M09F16256 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs, mounting panels, and enclosure surfaces. Machined from 303 stainless steel with a plain bright finish, this standoff accepts a 2-56 threaded fastener and provides a 3/16 inch thread depth for secure engagement. The overall length is 1.25 inches, and the hex body measures 3/16 inch across flats for wrench-driven installation. It meets the QQ-S-763 federal specification for stainless steel fasteners. Electronics assemblers, industrial maintenance technicians, and enclosure integrators use this type of hardware for board mounting in control panels and electrical enclosures.
This standoff is suited for circuit board mounting applications in control panels, HVAC control boards, electrical enclosures, and industrial equipment assemblies where corrosion resistance and dimensional stability are required. The female thread configuration allows a machine screw to secure the board from above while the standoff itself threads into a tapped hole or mounts via a mating male fastener below. Applications include both residential and light commercial control board assemblies where a 2-56 thread pattern is specified by the OEM design.
Designed as a standard 2-56 female hex circuit board standoff for use in any PCB assembly, control enclosure, or mounting application requiring a 2-56 threaded female standoff with a 1-1/4 inch overall length and 3/16 inch hex body.
Installation is performed by electronics assemblers or control panel technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the control panel or enclosure before servicing circuit boards or installing standoffs. Use an appropriately sized hex wrench or nut driver sized for 3/16 inch across flats to seat the standoff without over-torquing, which can damage tapped holes in thin panels. Follow applicable workspace electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures when handling circuit boards.
