The ELECTRO HARDWARE P285M03F21440 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between stacked PCBs or between a board and a chassis panel. Machined from brass with a clear zinc chromate (zinc) finish, this standoff meets ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-B-626 Comp 22 standards. It features a 4-40 internal thread, an overall length of 0.125 inches, a width across flats of 0.1875 inches, and a full thread depth of 0.125 inches through the body. The hex profile allows wrench engagement for precise, repeatable torque during assembly. Electronics assemblers, PCB technicians, and electrical panel builders install this hardware in control board assemblies across HVAC, industrial, and commercial equipment applications.
This standoff is suited for light-duty PCB mounting applications where close board-to-board or board-to-chassis spacing is required. Its compact 0.125-inch overall length makes it appropriate for tight-clearance assemblies where larger standoffs cannot fit. The brass base material provides corrosion resistance and good electrical conductivity, while the zinc finish adds additional surface protection. It is well matched to fine-thread 4-40 screw applications common in electronic enclosures, control boards, and instrumentation panels found in residential and commercial HVAC systems, electrical equipment, and similar trade environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for PCB assemblies requiring 4-40 threaded brass hex standoffs with a 0.125-inch overall length.
Installation is performed by electronics assemblers, PCB technicians, or licensed electricians working on control board assemblies. Power down and de-energize all circuits before handling or replacing circuit board hardware. Use an appropriately sized hex wrench or nut driver to engage the flats without rounding the body. Follow applicable NEC guidelines and equipment manufacturer instructions when mounting or replacing control boards in electrical or HVAC equipment.
