The ELECTRO HARDWARE MS1017M04F16F is a round, female unthreaded circuit board spacer machined from aluminum alloy grade T3 to the QQ-A-225A Comp 2 fastener standard. It accepts an M4 screw and provides precise standoff spacing between a PCB and a mounting surface or between stacked boards. The spacer measures 9 mm (approximately 0.354 inches) in overall length with a 6 mm (approximately 0.236 inches) outside diameter and an inside diameter ranging from 4.2 mm to 4.8 mm (approximately 0.165 to 0.189 inches). The uncoated, bright aluminum finish resists corrosion in typical indoor electronic enclosure environments. Electronics technicians and panel builders use this spacer during board assembly and control panel fabrication.
This spacer is suited for metric-dimensioned PCB assemblies requiring a compact, lightweight standoff. Typical applications include HVAC control boards, electrical panel assemblies, industrial electronics enclosures, and any application where an M4 fastener is used to secure a circuit board at a controlled standoff distance. The small outside diameter and short overall length make it appropriate for densely populated board layouts where clearance is limited. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock spacer for metric PCB assemblies using M4 fasteners, including HVAC control boards, electrical enclosures, and industrial electronics panels.
Installation is performed by electronics technicians or control panel fabricators. De-energize all circuits and discharge any stored voltage before handling circuit boards or installing spacers. Use calibrated metric hand tools and avoid overtightening the M4 fastener, as the unthreaded bore is not designed to bear thread-engagement loads. Follow applicable IPC assembly standards and the board or enclosure manufacturer guidelines for standoff placement and fastener torque class.
