The ELECTRO HARDWARE MP447M03F21M3 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise, rigid spacing between printed circuit boards and mounting surfaces. Machined from brass with a clear zinc chromate finish meeting ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-B-626 Comp 22 standards, this standoff provides reliable corrosion resistance in electronics assembly environments. The M3 x 0.5 fully threaded female thread runs the full 24 mm body length, allowing a male fastener to engage from either end. The hexagonal body shape allows standard wrench or socket installation without slippage. Electronics assemblers, PCB technicians, and panel builders install these in control panels, industrial enclosures, and commercial electronics assemblies.
This standoff is suited for metric fastener applications where M3 x 0.5 threading is specified. The 4.5 mm width across flats accommodates standard metric hex tooling. Typical installations include stacking PCBs in control enclosures, mounting boards to chassis rails, and securing logic boards in HVAC control modules or similar low-voltage electronics assemblies. The brass base material provides good electrical conductivity and machinability, making it a common choice where grounding continuity through the standoff may be required.
Designed for use with M3 x 0.5 metric fasteners in PCB standoff and spacer applications. Suitable for circuit board mounting in control panels, electronics enclosures, and similar assemblies requiring metric threaded brass standoffs.
Install and remove using a metric hex wrench or socket sized for 4.5 mm across flats. De-energize and discharge any board or enclosure before installing or removing standoffs to avoid electrostatic discharge damage to components. Do not over-torque the standoff body, as brass is softer than steel and threads can be damaged by excessive force. Follow applicable assembly drawings and IPC standards for PCB mounting hardware installation.
