The ELECTRO HARDWARE MP431M03F21M3 is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs, enclosure panels, and mounting surfaces in electronic assemblies. Machined from brass with a clear zinc chromate finish meeting ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-B-626 Comp 22 standards, this standoff accepts M3 x 0.5 metric threads and provides a fully threaded depth of 16 mm through its entire 16 mm overall length. The hexagonal body measures 4.5 mm across flats, allowing a standard wrench or nut driver to seat and torque it securely. Electronics assemblers, panel builders, and electrical enclosure technicians install these standoffs in control boards, industrial electronics, and HVAC circuit board assemblies.
This standoff is suited for metric-threaded PCB mounting applications in both light industrial and commercial electronic equipment. It is commonly installed in control panel assemblies, relay boards, variable frequency drives, and HVAC control board housings where consistent board-to-surface clearance is required. The fully threaded female bore allows an M3 x 0.5 male screw to engage through the entire standoff length, giving installers flexible mounting depth. The brass base material combined with zinc plating provides corrosion resistance appropriate for indoor enclosure environments.
Designed for use in any metric-threaded PCB or panel mounting application requiring M3 x 0.5 female standoffs with a 16 mm overall length and hex drive body.
Installation is performed by electronics assemblers and panel builders using a wrench or nut driver sized for a 4.5 mm hex body. De-energize and discharge all circuits completely before handling circuit boards or installing standoffs in live enclosures. Avoid over-torquing brass standoffs, as the material is softer than steel and the threads can strip under excessive force. Follow applicable electrical enclosure and panel assembly standards for your jurisdiction.
