The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMX1715M09-MSC is a male-male hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs or between a board and a mounting surface. Threaded on both ends with an M5 x 0.8 metric thread, this standoff measures 10 mm overall length with a 10 mm hex body. It is machined from Grade 18-8 303 stainless steel with a passivated finish, providing corrosion resistance suitable for electronic enclosures and control panel assemblies. Electrical technicians and electronics assembly professionals install this hardware during panel builds and board-level serviceability work.
This standoff is used in residential and commercial electrical panel assemblies, industrial control enclosures, and electronic equipment racks where metric fastening hardware is required. The hex body allows tool engagement with a wrench or socket for secure, torque-controlled installation without marring adjacent board surfaces. Its fully threaded male ends accept standard M5 metric nuts or threaded inserts on mating components.
Designed as a metric M5 x 0.8 male-male hex standoff for use in PCB mounting, electronic enclosure assembly, and control panel applications requiring stainless steel hardware conforming to QQ-S-763.
Installation is performed by electricians or electronics assembly technicians. De-energize all circuits and discharge any capacitors before working inside a panel or enclosure. Use an appropriately sized wrench or socket on the hex body to seat the standoff without over-torquing. Follow NEC guidelines and equipment manufacturer specifications for panel assembly and hardware torque requirements.
