The ELECTRO HARDWARE MM1401M09-MSC is a male-to-male hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between PCBs, enclosure panels, and mounting surfaces in electronic assemblies. Machined from Grade 18-8 303 stainless steel with a passivated finish, this standoff measures 1/8 inch overall length with a 1/4 inch width across flats and uses a 4-40 thread on both ends. The hex body allows standard wrench or socket installation without slippage. It meets QQ-S-763 federal specification standards. Electronics assembly technicians, panel builders, and field service electricians install these fasteners in control boards, junction boxes, and instrument enclosures where corrosion resistance and precise board spacing are required.
This standoff is suited for applications where male threads on both ends are needed to stack boards, secure PCBs to chassis panels, or create standoff columns in tight assemblies. The compact 1/8 inch body length makes it appropriate for low-profile installations where board clearance is minimal. Its stainless steel construction and passivated finish make it suitable for environments with humidity exposure or where ferrous fasteners are undesirable. Typical applications include industrial control panels, HVAC equipment circuit board mounting, and instrument enclosures.
Designed as a standard 4-40 male-to-male hex standoff for use in circuit board mounting, panel assembly, and electronics enclosure applications requiring 1/8 inch board separation.
Installation is performed by electronics assembly technicians or licensed electricians working on control panel wiring. Always de-energize and lock out the assembly before installing or removing circuit board standoffs. Use a correctly sized nut driver or open-end wrench on the hex body to avoid deforming the standoff. Do not overtighten, as this can crack PCB mounting holes or damage board traces near the fastener.
