The ELECTRO HARDWARE ETPS-125-6 is a self clinching pilot pin designed to press permanently into sheet metal panels and provide precise alignment during assembly. Measuring 0.205 inches in diameter and 0.375 inches in length, this pin features a tapered end that guides mating components into position with accuracy. Manufactured from 300 series stainless steel with a passivated finish, it resists corrosion in environments where mild chemical exposure or moisture may be present. This fastener is installed by pressing or clinching into a prepared host sheet, making it a permanent, low-profile alignment solution. It is used by mechanical assemblers and fabricators working on sheet metal enclosures, chassis panels, and precision hardware assemblies.
The ETPS-125-6 is suited for inch-system sheet metal fabrication applications where repeatable panel alignment is required. The passivated stainless construction makes it a practical choice in electronics enclosures, industrial control panels, and light structural assemblies. It is sold in packages of 25 units, making it appropriate for production-quantity use as well as maintenance and repair applications. The tapered end reduces the effort required to locate mating holes during assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style self clinching pilot pin for use in inch-system sheet metal panels and enclosures requiring permanent alignment pin fasteners.
Self clinching pilot pins are installed by mechanical assemblers using a press or squeeze tool to embed the pin permanently into a prepared hole in the host sheet. Power must be removed from any live panel or assembly before fastener installation begins. The host sheet material and thickness should meet the minimum requirements specified for self clinching hardware to ensure proper retention. Do not attempt to install with a hammer or impact tool, as this can damage the clinching geometry and compromise retention strength.
