The ELECTRO HARDWARE ESO-440-14ZI is a female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between stacked PCBs or between a board and an enclosure panel. Machined from steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance, this standoff features a 4-40 thread and measures 0.437 inches in overall length with a 0.187-inch width across flats. It uses a self-clinching with through-hole fastening method, allowing secure press-in installation into sheet metal or PCB material. Electricians, electronics technicians, and HVAC control board assemblers use these standoffs when mounting or replacing control boards in panels, enclosures, and equipment chassis.
This standoff is suited for low-voltage control board assemblies, HVAC equipment circuit boards, electrical panel sub-assemblies, and general electronics enclosure work. The hex body shape allows wrench engagement for controlled installation and removal. With inch-system threading at 4-40, it fits standard North American PCB mounting patterns. Sold in a package of 25, it is practical for service technicians stocking hardware for multiple board replacements or for panel assemblers working on production runs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service hardware for circuit board assemblies using 4-40 inch-system standoffs in residential and commercial HVAC control boards, electrical enclosures, and general electronics panel applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or electronics technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before handling control boards or standoffs in any electrical enclosure. Self-clinching standoffs require a press or controlled-force installation into the mounting surface and should not be hammered in, as that can deform the hex body or damage the board. Follow applicable NEC guidelines when working inside electrical enclosures.
