The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1483M06F16-440 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between PCBs and mounting surfaces in electronic assemblies. The standoff features a 4-40 unified coarse thread with a male thread on one end and a female threaded bore on the other, allowing boards to be stacked or elevated off a chassis. The hex body measures 0.25 inches across flats and spans an overall length of 2.1875 inches, with a 2-inch body length and a 3/16-inch thread length. Constructed from 6061-T3 aluminum with an anodized finish, it meets the QQ-A-225A Comp 2 material standard. Electricians, electronics technicians, and panel builders use this type of hardware when assembling control panels, PCB enclosures, and industrial electronics.
This standoff is suited for use in residential and commercial electronic panel assemblies, HVAC control board installations, and general electronics manufacturing where a rigid, lightweight aluminum spacer is required. The hex body shape allows installation and removal with standard hex drivers or nutdrivers without surface marring. The anodized finish provides corrosion resistance and a hard surface layer suitable for indoor electrical enclosure environments. Applications include PCB-to-chassis mounting, multi-board stacking configurations, and service panel wiring assemblies where consistent board clearance is critical.
Designed as a standard 4-40 male-female hex circuit board standoff for use in PCB assemblies, electronic enclosures, and control panel builds requiring aluminum hex hardware to the inch measurement system.
Installation is performed by electronics technicians or electricians during panel assembly or PCB mounting. Power down and de-energize all circuits before working inside any electrical enclosure. Use a properly sized nutdriver or hex socket matched to the 0.25-inch across-flats dimension to avoid stripping the hex body. Do not overtighten, as aluminum threads can gall or strip under excessive torque.
