The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1459M06F16-832 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to space and support printed circuit boards within electronic enclosures. The hex body measures 0.25 inches across the flats and provides a wrench-flat grip point for secure installation. At 1.625 inches overall length with a 1.25-inch hex body, this standoff accepts an 8-32 male thread on one end and an 8-32 female thread on the other, allowing boards to be stacked or mounted with proper clearance. Constructed from T-3 aluminum with an anodized finish and manufactured to QQ-A-225A Comp 2 standards, it delivers corrosion resistance and consistent dimensional tolerances of plus or minus 0.005 inches.
This standoff is used in electronic panel assemblies, control boards, HVAC circuit board mounting applications, and industrial enclosures where a reliable, lightweight aluminum spacer is required. The male-female configuration allows daisy-chaining of multiple standoffs or direct board-to-chassis mounting. It is commonly installed by electronics technicians, control panel builders, and HVAC service technicians replacing or upgrading control board mounting hardware. The 8-32 thread size is a widely used standard in control board enclosures across residential and light commercial equipment.
Designed as a standard 8-32 male-female hex standoff for circuit board mounting in electronic enclosures, control panels, and equipment chassis that use inch-series fasteners.
Installation is typically performed by electronics technicians or HVAC control board service technicians. De-energize all equipment and discharge any capacitors before working on circuit board assemblies. Use a nut driver or open-end wrench sized to 0.25 inches across the flats to torque the standoff without rounding the hex body. Ensure mating threads are clean and free of debris before assembly to maintain consistent board clearance and prevent thread damage.
