The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1443M12F21-440 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs or between a board and a chassis panel. The standoff has a 4-40 threaded male end on one side and a 4-40 threaded female end on the other, allowing boards to be stacked or mounted in sequence. The overall length is 15/16 inches (0.9375 inches), with a hex body that measures 1/4 inch across the flats. Constructed from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish meeting ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-S-633 standards, it delivers corrosion resistance suitable for indoor electronic assemblies. Electronics technicians and electrical contractors install this type of standoff during control board assembly, panel fabrication, and enclosure builds.
This standoff is used in residential and commercial electronic control panels, HVAC control boards, electrical enclosures, and general PCB mounting applications where a male-female threaded connection is required. The hex body allows engagement with a standard nut driver or hex wrench for secure tightening without slipping. The 3/16-inch thread length on the male end and 1/4-inch thread depth on the female end accommodate standard 4-40 fasteners used across most PCB mounting configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build fastener for circuit board assemblies using 4-40 threaded hardware in standard PCB standoff applications.
Installation is performed by electronics technicians, electricians, or qualified service personnel working on control boards and panel assemblies. De-energize and lock out all electrical power before servicing any circuit board or panel. Use a nut driver or appropriately sized hex wrench sized for 1/4-inch across flats to seat the standoff without over-torquing the threaded body. Follow applicable NEC guidelines when installing control boards inside electrical enclosures.
