The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1329M12F21256 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between printed circuit boards or between a board and a mounting surface. Machined from steel with a zinc-plated finish meeting ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-S-633 standards, this fastener provides reliable electrical isolation and mechanical support in electronic assemblies. The hexagonal body measures 3/16 inches across flats, with an overall body length of 1 inch. The male thread is a number 2-56 unified coarse thread with a thread length of 5/32 inches, and the female threaded end accepts a mating 2-56 fastener with a thread depth of 3/16 inches. Electricians, electronics technicians, and control board assemblers use this standoff when mounting PCBs inside HVAC control enclosures, electrical panels, and industrial equipment.
This standoff is suited for light-duty PCB mounting applications in residential and commercial electronic assemblies. It is commonly used when stacking circuit boards, securing control boards inside HVAC equipment enclosures, and mounting logic boards to chassis surfaces. The inch-system thread and standard hex body geometry make it compatible with common hand tools and automated assembly processes. Sold individually, it is appropriate for repair, prototyping, and low-volume production builds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation standoff for circuit board assemblies using number 2-56 inch-series threaded fasteners in hex standoff configurations.
Installation is performed by electronics technicians or electricians working on control board assemblies. De-energize all equipment and discharge any stored electrical energy before handling circuit boards or installing standoffs. Use an appropriately sized hex driver or nut driver to seat the standoff without overtightening, which can crack PCB mounting holes. Follow applicable NEC guidelines and equipment manufacturer instructions when working inside energized enclosures.
