The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1308M19F16440 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between stacked PCBs or to mount a circuit board at a set height above a chassis or panel. Machined from nylon with a bright, uncoated finish, this standoff carries a 4-40 threaded male post on one end and a 4-40 threaded female socket on the other. The hex body measures 3/16 inches across the flats, the overall body length is 11/32 inches (0.3438 inches), and the thread depth is 1/4 inch. With a tensile strength rated at 16,500 psi, this standoff meets the requirements of MIL-P-17091B. Electronics assembly technicians and PCB service professionals install this part in both production and field-repair applications.
This standoff is used wherever non-conductive, lightweight spacing hardware is required between circuit boards or between a board and a mounting surface. Common applications include industrial control panels, HVAC control board assemblies, lighting ballast boards, and any electronic enclosure where electrical isolation between the standoff and the circuit board copper is preferred. The nylon construction eliminates galvanic corrosion concerns and provides inherent dielectric properties, making it suitable for densely populated board stacks in residential and light commercial equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-use hex standoff for circuit board assemblies requiring 4-40 threaded nylon hardware with a 3/16 inch hex body profile.
Installation is typically performed by electronics technicians or field service personnel working on control boards and PCB assemblies. De-energize all equipment and discharge any capacitors before handling circuit boards or installing standoffs. Use a nut driver or small wrench sized to the 3/16 inch hex body to seat the standoff without overtightening, as nylon threads can strip if excessive torque is applied. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer guidelines and relevant electrical codes when servicing control board assemblies inside HVAC, electrical, or industrial enclosures.
