The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1306M12F21440 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between PCBs and mounting surfaces in electronic assemblies. It features a 4-40 unified coarse thread on both the male pin and female threaded bore, with a body length of 0.2813 inches (9/32 inch) and a hex width across flats of 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch). The standoff is manufactured from steel with a zinc-plated finish that meets ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-S-633 standards, providing corrosion resistance in light-duty service environments. Electronics technicians, PCB assemblers, and field service techs use this hardware to secure and stack circuit boards cleanly.
This standoff is suited for use in control panels, HVAC circuit board assemblies, electrical enclosures, and any application where a threaded male post on one end and a threaded female bore on the other are required for board stacking or panel mounting. The hexagonal body shape allows wrench engagement during installation. The 1/4-inch thread depth on the female end and 3/16-inch thread length on the male end provide reliable thread engagement for 4-40 screws and mating hardware. Typical applications include residential and light commercial equipment control boards where precise standoff height and secure fastening are required.
Designed as a standard 4-40 male-female hex standoff for use with circuit boards and mounting panels that require 4-40 threaded hardware in inch-system assemblies.
Installation is performed by electronics technicians or qualified service personnel working on de-energized equipment — always disconnect power to the control board or enclosure before servicing fasteners. Use a nut driver or open-end wrench sized for 3/16-inch hex flats to engage the body without damaging the threads. Do not overtighten, as thread stripping in light-gauge PCB standoff applications can occur with excessive torque. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer guidelines and NEC requirements when reassembling control enclosures.
