The EKLIND 15618 is a metric L-shaped hex key designed to drive internal hexagon socket fasteners in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from EKLIND alloy steel that is heat treated, quenched, and tempered, the key delivers high torque capacity while maintaining ductility to resist breakage under load. The black oxide coating provides rust resistance for tools stored in service vans or job-site toolboxes. The long arm measures 6.58 inches and the short arm measures 1.54 inches, giving the technician two engagement options depending on access and torque requirements. Manufactured in the USA and meets ANSI B18.3 standards.
This hex key is suited for HVAC equipment assembly and service, plumbing fixture installation, electrical panel and equipment mounting, and general mechanical work where metric socket-head cap screws or set screws are used. The 9 mm size is common in commercial equipment, pump assemblies, and structural fastener applications. The L-handle design allows either the long arm for reach into deep or recessed fastener locations, or the short arm for high-torque final tightening in confined spaces.
Designed for use with 9 mm internal hexagon socket fasteners across residential and commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical applications.
This tool is installed by hand and requires no special certification to use; however, always select the correct key size to avoid rounding the fastener socket. When working on energized electrical equipment or pressurized systems, follow all applicable lockout and shutoff procedures before using any hand tool on fasteners. Do not use extension devices or additional leverage on the short arm, as this can exceed the design torque range of the fastener or the key.
