The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PSB-165 is a black plastic coaxial cable staple designed to secure low-voltage coaxial cable runs to wood framing, furring strips, baseboards, and similar surfaces. Each staple uses a single nail drive for fast, one-handed installation with a hammer or staple gun. The 0.25 inch interior width fits standard RG-6 and similarly sized coaxial cable without crushing the jacket or distorting the core. Each bag contains 50 staples, making it a practical quantity for rough-in and trim-out cable routing work. Electricians and low-voltage installers reach for this type of fastener on residential and light commercial jobs where clean, code-compliant cable management is required.
These staples are suited for securing coaxial cable in residential and light commercial settings, including new construction framing runs, retrofit cable routing along baseboards or door casings, and structured wiring installations. The black finish blends with common trim and conduit colors. The plastic body insulates the cable from the fastener, reducing the risk of signal degradation caused by metal contact with the cable shield. Sold in a 50-count bagged pack, they are easy to stage on the job site and replenish from stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard consumable for securing 0.25 inch coaxial cable in residential and light commercial low-voltage wiring applications.
Low-voltage installers and electricians typically install coaxial cable staples using a hammer or compatible staple gun during rough-in or trim-out phases. Drive each staple firmly but avoid overdriving, as excessive force can crush the cable jacket and degrade signal quality. Follow NEC guidelines for low-voltage wiring when routing and securing coaxial cable through or along building structures. Ensure the cable is free of kinks and bends before fastening.
