The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PS-175BG is a wood-white plastic cable staple designed to secure non-metallic (NM) and underground feeder (UF) cable to wood framing and similar surfaces. Each pack contains 175 staples sized at 3/4 inch to accommodate 3-conductor-with-ground cable runs. These fasteners are a standard consumable on residential and light commercial wiring jobs, used by electricians to keep cable neatly routed and code-compliant along joists, studs, and plates. The plastic body resists corrosion and will not damage cable jackets when driven correctly.
The PS-175BG staples are suited for interior rough-in wiring where NM cable such as 12/3 or 14/3 with ground must be secured at required intervals per NEC guidelines. They are also appropriate for UF cable applications where the cable transitions through or along wood structural members. The wood-white color blends with typical framing lumber and finished wood surfaces, making them a practical choice for both concealed and exposed cable runs in residential construction and renovation work.
Designed for use with 3-conductor-with-ground non-metallic sheathed cable and underground feeder cable secured to wood surfaces.
Cable staples are installed by licensed electricians during rough-in wiring in accordance with NEC requirements for cable support and spacing. Drive staples flush with the wood surface without overtightening, which can crush the cable jacket and damage conductors. Secure cable at intervals and within distances from boxes as required by the applicable NEC edition. Do not use staples as a substitute for listed cable clamps at panel or box entries.
