The EATON TL-20PK4 is a medium-duty, time-delay plug fuse rated at 20 amps and 125 volts AC, sold in a 4-pack. It uses a loaded-link design that tolerates brief motor startup inrush currents without nuisance tripping, while still providing reliable overcurrent protection. The Edison base (brass threads) fits standard residential fuse receptacles. A large, clear window allows quick visual inspection to confirm whether the fuse element has opened. This fuse is installed by licensed electricians or qualified service technicians working on residential branch circuits.
The TL-20PK4 is suited for residential branch circuits that serve electric motors, relays, or solenoids — including kitchen appliances, workshop equipment, garage circuits, and utility room loads. The time-delay characteristic accommodates the higher inrush current drawn when motors start, preventing unnecessary fuse failures under normal operating conditions. The 4-pack format is convenient for service calls or initial installations where multiple fuse positions need to be stocked.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard Edison-base fuse holders in residential panelboards and fused disconnects rated for Type TL plug fuses.
Installation and replacement of branch-circuit fuses must be performed in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) by a qualified electrician. Always shut off the main disconnect and verify the circuit is de-energized before removing or installing fuses. Do not substitute a higher-amperage fuse to address nuisance tripping — diagnose the underlying cause first. Confirm the fuse holder is rated for the Edison base before installation.
