The EATON SL-25PK4 is a medium-duty, time-delay plug fuse rated at 25 amps and 125 volts AC, sold in a 4-pack. It uses a loaded link design with a rejection base that physically prevents installation of a higher-amperage fuse, reducing the risk of overcurrent damage to wiring and equipment. An extra-large clear window gives technicians and homeowners a quick visual indication of fuse status without removing the fuse from the socket. The SL-25PK4 carries a 10,000 ampere interrupting capacity (AIC) rating and is UL listed, making it suitable for residential electrical panels and load centers where code-compliant overcurrent protection is required.
This fuse is designed for residential circuits that serve electric motors, relays, and solenoids — loads that draw high inrush current at startup and require a time-delay element to avoid nuisance trips. Typical applications include kitchen appliance circuits, garage door opener circuits, utility room equipment, and similar motor-load branch circuits. The SL rejection base is compatible with standard Edison-base fuseholders that have been fitted with a rejection-base adapter, ensuring the correct amperage rating is maintained throughout the life of the installation.
Designed for use in residential fusible panelboards and load centers equipped with SL-type rejection-base fuseholders. Suitable for branch circuits containing electric motors, relays, or solenoids in kitchens, garages, and utility rooms.
Fuse replacement should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. Always shut off the main disconnect or isolate the affected circuit before removing or installing a fuse. Confirm that the replacement fuse amperage matches the circuit conductor rating before installation. Do not defeat or bypass the rejection base feature by using non-SL fuseholders that accept standard Edison-base fuses.
