The EATON H1033 is a heater element designed for use with EATON Type ST, BNC, and LT overload relays. Heater elements set the thermal trip threshold in an overload relay, protecting motors from sustained overcurrent conditions that cause winding damage and premature failure. The H1033 is selected based on the full-load amperage of the motor being protected, and it is installed directly into the overload relay assembly in the motor control circuit. Electricians and motor control technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This heater element is suited for motor protection applications in both commercial and industrial settings where EATON Type ST, BNC, or LT overload relays are deployed. Typical installations include motor control centers, combination starters, and across-the-line starter assemblies. The heater element is matched to the motor full-load amp rating to ensure accurate thermal overload protection and reliable trip response under overload conditions.
Designed for use with EATON Type ST, BNC, and LT overload relays as indicated by the product classification. Confirm motor full-load amperage and relay series before selecting a heater element to ensure proper trip calibration.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC Article 430 governing motor branch-circuit and overload protection. De-energize and lock out the motor control panel before removing or installing any heater element. Verify the heater element selection against the motor nameplate full-load amp rating using the relay manufacturer sizing chart. Do not operate the overload relay without the correct heater elements installed, as an improperly sized element will not provide accurate motor protection.
