The EATON ch-ch260 is a 2-pole, 60-amp plug-on circuit breaker rated for 120/240 VAC service. It uses a thermal magnetic trip mechanism to protect circuits from overloads and short circuits. Designed for residential and light commercial panelboards, it fits CH type loadcenters in a 1.5-inch wide footprint. The breaker accepts 14 to 2 AWG wire and carries a 10 kAIC interrupt rating. Licensed electricians install this device as part of branch circuit protection work in panel upgrades, new construction, and service replacements.
The ch-ch260 is built for single-phase, 2-pole branch circuits requiring 60-amp protection at 120/240 VAC. Common applications include circuits serving electric ranges, dryers, subpanels, and other large residential loads. It is rated for use in NEMA 1 and NEMA 3R enclosures, making it suitable for both indoor and weather-protected outdoor panelboards. Wire terminations are rated for 60 to 75 degrees C conductors, which aligns with standard residential wiring practices.
Designed for use in EATON CH type loadcenters. Suitable for single-phase panelboards accepting plug-on style CH breakers.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. De-energize the panel at the utility disconnect or main breaker before servicing any branch circuit breaker. Verify conductor ampacity and wire gauge match the breaker rating before terminating. Do not exceed the panel's listed interrupt rating or install this breaker in a loadcenter that does not accept CH type plug-on devices.
