The EATON ch-br215 is a 2-pole, 15-amp plug-on circuit breaker rated for 120/240 VAC service. It uses a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism to protect branch circuits from overloads and short circuits. The breaker delivers a 10 kA interrupt rating and mounts directly into compatible Type BR load centers without tools or fasteners. Wire range is 14 to 4 AWG, covering most residential branch circuit conductors. Licensed electricians install this breaker during panel upgrades, service changes, or new branch circuit additions. It measures 3 inches long by 2 inches wide by 3 inches tall.
The ch-br215 is suited for single-phase residential and light commercial applications requiring a double-pole breaker in a 120/240 VAC panel. Typical installations include circuits for electric dryers, small HVAC equipment, water heaters, and other 240-volt loads. The breaker is listed for use in NEMA 1, 4X, and 3R enclosure types, making it appropriate for indoor panels as well as certain outdoor and weather-resistant load centers. It carries a 1-inch-per-pole profile consistent with standard BR-series panel layouts.
Designed for use in EATON Type BR load centers and panels that accept plug-on BR-series breakers.
Installation must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the main service disconnect before working inside the load center. Verify the panel is rated for Type BR plug-on breakers before installation. Do not exceed the wire range of 14 to 4 AWG when landing conductors on the breaker terminals.
