The EATON BUSSMANN frs-r-200 is a Class RK5, dual-element, time-delay, current-limiting fuse rated at 200 amps. It is a non-indicating fuse designed for use in electrical distribution systems where overload and short-circuit protection are required. The frs-r-200 carries an interrupting rating of 200 kA at 600 Vac and 20 kA at 300 Vdc, making it suitable for high-fault-current environments. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fuse in industrial, commercial, and heavy residential applications where Class RK5 fusing is specified.
This fuse is used in motor branch circuits, feeder circuits, and service entrance equipment where time-delay characteristics are needed to ride through motor inrush current without nuisance opening. The dual-element design separates the overload and short-circuit elements, allowing precise coordination with downstream overcurrent devices. It is commonly installed in fusible disconnect switches, safety switches, and panelboards accepting Class RK5 fuses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement Class RK5 fuse for use in fusible switches, disconnects, and panelboards rated for Class RK5 fuse elements at up to 600 Vac.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Verify the fuse holder or disconnect is rated for Class RK5 fuses at the circuit voltage and amperage before installation. Do not install a higher-amperage fuse than the circuit and equipment are rated to accept.
