The EATON BP/T-10 is a Fusetron Type-T time-delay, dual-element, Edison base plug fuse rated at 10 amps and 125 volts AC. It is designed for branch circuit overcurrent protection in applications where motors start and stop repeatedly. The dual-element construction provides a built-in time delay that tolerates normal motor inrush current during startup without nuisance opening, while still responding quickly to sustained overloads and short circuits. The brass Edison base threads directly into standard fuse receptacles. An oversized clear window allows visual inspection of fuse condition without removal. Interrupting capacity is rated at 10,000 AIC. UL listed for safe performance in residential and light commercial installations.
This fuse is suited for use in swamp coolers, central air conditioners, furnace blower circuits, swimming pool pumps, deep freezers, and any branch circuit that regularly cycles motor loads on and off. Its industrial-grade dual-element design makes it appropriate wherever repeated motor startups would cause a standard time-delay fuse to open prematurely. HVAC technicians, electricians, and pool service professionals commonly use this fuse type when servicing or replacing overcurrent protection devices in load centers and fuse panels.
Designed as a direct replacement for Type-T Edison base plug fuses in standard residential and light commercial fuse panels and load centers that accept 10-amp, 125-volt plug fuses.
Installation and replacement of plug fuses must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Always shut off the main disconnect and verify the circuit is de-energized before removing or installing any fuse. Never substitute a fuse with a higher ampere rating than the circuit is wired for. Confirm the panel accepts Edison base plug fuses before installation.
