The EATON BP/S-10 is a 10-amp, S-Type Fustat time-delay plug fuse designed for circuits that experience repeated motor start-up inrush current. It uses a dual-element construction that tolerates temporary overloads without nuisance opening, while still responding quickly to sustained short-circuit faults. Rated at 125 volts AC with a 10,000-amp interrupting capacity (AIC), this fuse meets the demands of heavy-duty residential and light commercial electrical protection. A licensed electrician installs it in S-Type rejection-base fuseholders, which physically prevent substitution with a higher-amperage fuse — a critical safety feature on motor circuits.
This fuse is well suited for circuits powering air conditioners, furnace blower motors, swimming pool pumps, deep freezers, and similar motor-driven loads that cycle on and off frequently. The rejection base ensures only the correct amperage rating can be installed, preventing overcurrent substitution on critical branch circuits. An oversized clear window allows technicians to visually confirm fuse status without removing the fuse from the holder, which speeds up troubleshooting during service calls.
Designed for use in S-Type (Fustat) rejection-base fuseholders on 125V AC branch circuits protecting motor loads such as air conditioners, furnace blowers, swimming pool pumps, and deep freezers.
Installation and replacement must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit at the panel before removing or installing the fuse. Confirm the fuseholder is rated for S-Type Fustat fuses — do not attempt to force this fuse into a standard Edison-base socket. Verify the circuit voltage and amperage requirements match the fuse rating before restoring power.
