The EATON 3300X6 is a straight brass pipe coupling with 3/8 inch FNPTF (Female National Pipe Taper Fuel) threads on both ends. It joins two sections of pipe or connects pipe to a fitting in pressurized fluid and fuel systems. Rated to 1,200 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this coupling handles demanding service conditions. The brass construction resists corrosion in water, fuel, and light hydraulic applications. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting during new construction and maintenance work on pressurized lines.
This coupling is suited for use in residential and light commercial piping systems where FNPTF thread connections are required. Typical applications include fuel gas distribution, compressed air lines, hydraulic circuits, and water supply piping operating within the rated pressure and temperature envelope. The straight configuration makes it a direct inline connector with no directional change. The SAE J130138 standard governs its thread and dimensional specifications, confirming dimensional interchangeability with other FNPTF-rated components in the same service class.
Designed as a standard FNPTF straight coupling for inline pipe connections in pressurized fluid, fuel, and air systems requiring 3/8 inch female thread fittings rated to 1,200 psi.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing or installing any pipe fitting. Use an appropriately rated thread sealant or PTFE tape compatible with the service fluid. Apply a wrench to the 7/8 inch hex flats and tighten to a snug, leak-free fit without over-torquing brass threads. Verify system pressure rating compliance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC before returning the line to service.
