The EATON 10006B-106 is a barbed push-on hose male connector designed for secure, threaded hose-to-pipe connections in fluid and pneumatic systems. Machined from brass, it accepts a 3/8-inch barb on one end and threads into a 3/8-18 NPT female port on the other. The barbed end grips push-on hose without clamps in low-to-moderate pressure applications, while the NPT thread provides a reliable metal-to-metal seal when properly torqued. With an overall length of 1.65 inches and an 11/16-inch hex, this fitting is compact and easy to wrench into tight installations. Rated to 8000 psi, it suits demanding hydraulic and industrial plumbing lines.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant or fluid lines, hydraulic assemblies, and general industrial piping wherever a barbed hose must transition to an NPT-threaded port. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians. The 7/8-inch cut-off allowance provides dimensional reference for hose end preparation and fitting makeup during assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 3/8-inch inside diameter push-on hose with 3/8-18 NPT threaded ports in plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Depressurize and drain the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply a thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the service fluid to the NPT male threads before makeup. Do not use a pipe wrench on the barb end, as deforming the barb will compromise the hose seal.
