The EATON 05705B-104 is a male rigid barbed hose fitting machined from brass, designed for threaded hose and fluid-line connections in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid-handling systems. The fitting uses a 1/4-inch NPTF thread for a pressure-tight seal without a separate sealant in many applications, and the barbed end locks onto compatible hose assemblies to resist pull-off under pressure. At 1.46 inches overall length with a 0.56-inch hex head, it is compact enough for tight installations. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system mechanics are the primary installers.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial fluid-line work where a reliable male-rigid-to-hose transition is needed. The barb diameter of 0.25 inches and a hose outside diameter rating of 0.31 inches makes it compatible with small-bore flexible hose runs common in condensate lines, pneumatic circuits, and low-pressure fluid transfer applications. It ships in single-piece package quantities with a minimum order of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation barbed hose fitting for small-bore flexible hose assemblies with a hose outside diameter of 0.31 inches and a 1/4-inch NPTF female threaded port.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and IFGC guidelines for fluid-line connections. Shut off and depressurize the fluid system completely before removing or installing fittings. Apply thread sealant per the system fluid and pressure requirements, noting that NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself. Do not overtighten, as brass fittings can crack at the hex head under excessive torque.
