The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL TDD50-4004S-ALT-D is a solid carbide single-end end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built with four flutes and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this tool delivers improved heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. The 1/16 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1/8 inch shank for use in standard collet chucks and tool holders found on CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is manufactured in the USA to close tolerances for consistent dimensional accuracy.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling operations where a small-diameter tool is required. The center-cut geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cutting, making it versatile across a range of machining tasks. Typical users include CNC machinists, toolroom operators, and production machinists working on mold and die components, aerospace parts, and precision mechanical assemblies where tight tolerances and fine detail work are required.
Designed as a direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8 inch collet or tool holder accepting a single-end solid carbide end mill.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per shop safety procedures. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully and evenly in the collet before torquing the collet nut to the tool holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when using small-diameter carbide tooling.
