The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL HT-5000-13-B-D is a 1/2-13 UNC high-speed steel (HSS) hand bottom tap manufactured in the USA. Bottom taps are ground with minimal chamfer on the leading threads, allowing the cutting edge to reach the bottom of a blind hole and produce full threads along nearly the entire depth of the tapped bore. This tool is designed for hand tapping operations and is the finishing tap of choice when thread depth must be maximized in a stopped hole. At 0.32 pounds, it is lightweight enough for single-hand use with a standard tap wrench.
