The EAGLE CUTTING TOOL CDW-35000-1-1/4-7 is a wet core drill bit designed for cutting clean, accurate holes through concrete, masonry, and similar hard materials. The 3-1/2 inch diameter bore makes it suited for penetrations that accommodate standard pipe, conduit, or sleeve fittings. Wet core drilling requires a continuous water feed to cool the bit and suppress dust, extending cutting segment life and keeping the work area within acceptable silica exposure limits. Plumbers, electricians, and general contractors working on concrete slab or block wall penetrations are the primary users of this bit.
This wet core drill bit fits residential and light commercial applications where a 3-1/2 inch hole is required through poured concrete floors, CMU block, or similar masonry substrates. Typical use cases include sleeve installations for drain lines, conduit runs, and HVAC refrigerant line sets passing through foundation walls or concrete decks. It is compatible with standard 1-1/4 inch by 7 threads-per-inch (1-1/4-7) core drill arbors, which are common on most mid-size electric core drill rigs.
Designed for use with core drill rigs fitted with a 1-1/4 inch by 7 threads-per-inch arbor, the standard mount for mid-size wet core drilling equipment used in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical trades.
Wet core drilling should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with core drill rig operation and applicable OSHA silica dust control requirements. Always secure the drill rig to the work surface with a vacuum base or anchor bolt before beginning a cut, and maintain steady water flow throughout the operation to prevent overheating the segments. De-energize or shut off any utilities that may run through the substrate before coring. Inspect the bit for worn or missing segments before each use and do not operate without the water supply connected.
