The DYNAFLUX DF315-16 is a nuclear-grade nondestructive testing (NDT) developer supplied in a 16 oz aerosol can. Developer is the final step in a liquid penetrant inspection (LPI) sequence: after excess penetrant is removed, the developer draws trapped penetrant back to the surface, making cracks, porosity, and other surface discontinuities visible under inspection lighting. The DF315-16 formulation meets the requirements for nuclear applications, where material traceability and chemical content restrictions are strictly controlled. It is used by NDT Level II and Level III technicians, weld inspectors, and QC personnel in nuclear, power generation, and heavy industrial environments.
This developer is suited for penetrant inspection work on metallic and nonmetallic components in nuclear power plants, pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural weldments. The aerosol format allows direct application to component surfaces without mixing or dilution, making it practical for both field inspection and shop-floor use. It is part of a complete LPI system and should be used with a compatible DYNAFLUX penetrant and remover for a validated inspection process.
Designed for use in nuclear-grade liquid penetrant inspection systems. For a validated inspection process, use with a compatible DYNAFLUX penetrant and remover rated for nuclear service.
Application is performed by qualified NDT personnel following approved written procedures. Ensure the component surface has been properly cleaned and excess penetrant removed before applying developer. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly before use and apply a thin, uniform coat at the recommended distance stated on the product label. Follow all applicable radiation zone safety protocols, site procedures, and ASME or ASTM standards governing liquid penetrant examination in nuclear environments.
